Cycling is a wonderful indoor/outdoor activity to challenge the adaptive athlete, to support fitness development as well as to increase environmental accessibility. Cycling provides the adaptive athlete with opportunities to explore recreational and/or competitive sport. Our staff will meet with you to assess your baseline health, fitness as well as adaptive equipment needs. We will then develop a plan to address specific goals and objectives which will include, but are not limited to: (equipment selection and fitting, ergometer training, fitness for cycling, riding progressions~(beginner, intermediate, advanced), terrain selection, riding in different environments, as well as safety considerations). Adaptive cycling instruction and coaching will help you take your skills to the next level and beyond.
Fitness and Nutrition Training provide the adaptive athlete with an important foundation for success in both recreational and competitive adaptive sports. Our staff will meet with you to assess your baseline health, fitness and nutrition needs. We will then develop a plan to address specific goals and objectives which will include, but are not limited to: (nutrition for sport, strength and conditioning, flexibility, cardiovascular development, and safety considerations). Adaptive fitness instruction and coaching will help you take your skills to the
next level and beyond.
Skiing and snowboarding are wonderful winter sport activities to challenge the adaptive athlete, to support fitness development, and to increase environmental accessibility. Skiing and snowboarding provide the adaptive athlete with opportunities to explore slopes for recreational and/or competitive sport. Our staff will meet with you to assess your baseline health, fitness as well as adaptive equipment needs. We will then develop a plan to address specific goals and objectives which will include, but are not limited to: (equipment selection and fitting, terrain selection, riding the chairlift or other equipment that transports the [skier/snowboarder] to the top of the slope, skiing/riding progressions~(beginner, intermediate, advanced), safety considerations ). Our staff utilize Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) and American Snowboard Instructors Association (AASIA) adaptive instruction and coaching techniques to help you take your snow sports skills to the next level and beyond.
Paddle Sports – kayaking (whitewater or touring/sea kayaking), canoeing, and stand-up paddle board (SUP) are wonderful activities to challenge the adaptive athlete, to support fitness development as well as to increase environmental accessibility. provides the adaptive athlete with opportunities to explore recreational and/or competitive sport. Our staff will meet with you to assess your baseline health, fitness, as well as adaptive equipment needs. We will then develop a plan to address specific goals and objectives which will include, but are not limited to: (equipment selection and fitting, fitness for paddling, paddling skills progressions~(beginner, intermediate, advanced), forward and reverse strokes, edging and bracing, sweep strokes, draw strokes, wet exits, eskimo roll techniques, and safety considerations (weather, tides, currents, river features, etc). Paddlers will be learn progressions in a pool, or controlled flat-water environment prior to being exposed to open water (rivers, lakes, bays, and or the ocean). Our staff utilize American Canoe Association (ACA) adaptive paddling instruction and coaching techniques to help you take your paddling skills to the next level and beyond.
